Comedy class and humor education can be used for a multitude of purposes.  Everything from stand-up comedy to career/personal advancement will benefit when you hone your humor skills. 

OK… so ya wanna be funny?  Well let me start off by saying that it is impossible to teach anyone on “how” to be funny.  However it is very possible to teach someone what the elements and delivery of “funny” is and how one can use these elements in life to make things “funnier” than they would have been with out them.  So if you enjoy a good comedy movie or love watching stand-up comedians, you most likely have a good sense of humor and will most likely benefit greatly from this class.  But if you are the last person to laugh at a joke and don’t find many things “funny” in life, then you should first explore what deep seated feelings are holding you back from allowing yourself to feel this happiness.  Most likely its something that nested itself in you from your past and it may be holding your laughter hostage.  In either case, it’s something that may require professional medical help in order to conquer.  So we suggest you figure that out first.  But if you are Blonde, its just part of your genes to “not get it” and medical help is of no use.  But don’t feel bad because God gave you good looks to make up for it!  Everyone else, keep reading.

Now that you know you are a great candidate for this adventure, let’s talk a little about what we will cover in comedy class and the goal of this comedy school.  In the past, most “comedy classes” were conducted by experienced comedians that were teaching new comedians the basic skills needed to make it in the world of stand-up comedy.  Most of these “comedy classes” would focus on the creation of “material” and how to write a joke or a “bit” as we call it in the stand-up industry.  I feel that though this is an important element of comedy, I feel that the delivery is 90% of what makes something funny and that is what I will be focusing on.  But don’t worry, we will also cover the basics of writing and “performing” your material as well as exploring the art/secrets of “improv”.  Keep in mind that performing is not limited to a stage, because “life is a stage”. (I had to rewrite this 5 times just cuz I always wanted to use that in a sentence!) Comedy skills can be used on and off stage and is a valuable social skill that was never taught in school but should have been.   Having good humor skills can increase success/overcome the fear of public speaking, meeting new people, sales calls, job interviews, dating, social events as well as many other speaking situations.  If you are planning on being a stand-up comedian this seminar is a great way to move to the next level.  If you are a regular “Joe” and have no desire on being a comedian, you will use these skills in everyday situations for the rest of your days and most importantly, you will have so much more fun and happiness in life.
